Acne Scars

Acne scars are permanent changes in the skin texture caused by severe acne. They appear as indented areas on the skin. It is worth noting that the term "scarring" does not include the temporary red and brown marks that appear after acne. These marks usually improve on their own without treatment. On the face, acne scarring is characterised by damaged skin texture, with depressed or indented areas of various sizes.

Moles + Skin Tags

Skin tags are harmless growths that resemble excess skin. They typically form in areas prone to friction. While not dangerous, skin tags can be bothersome and unattractive. The safest way to remove them is through laser technology, which reduces the risk of bleeding and scarring. Each treatment is tailored to the individual's goals, pain tolerance, mole type, and skin condition, while considering the specialist's preferences, equipment, and expectations.

Redness + Rosacea

Rosacea is a skin condition that primarily affects individuals with fair skin, typically occurring between the ages of 30 and 60 and beyond. It manifests as facial redness and its exact cause is still unknown. Certain lifestyle factors such as stress, sun exposure, alcohol consumption, and spicy food intake can worsen its symptoms. If left untreated, this condition can progressively worsen over time. Fortunately, laser treatment has proven to be highly effective in treating rosacea, with remarkable results.

Sunspots

Poikiloderma is a persistent skin condition caused by sun damage, presenting as redness, thinning of the skin (atrophied), or hyperpigmentation. It commonly appears on the neck and décolletage areas. Treating poikiloderma is generally comfortable and requires multiple sessions for best outcomes. On the other hand, age spots are flat brown or black spots that develop on sun-exposed areas of the body. They mostly occur in older individuals but can affect young people with excessive sun exposure.

Scars

Scars occur when the body's natural healing process becomes overly active in response to a wound or skin damage. In its eagerness to heal and avoid re-injury, the skin sometimes regenerates in a hardened, rough, and thickened state. But, there is hope for those seeking scar reduction. Laser procedures have emerged as successful treatments for various types of scars, such as those caused by acne and surgical procedures. These procedures effectively minimise scarring and promote smoother, more even skin.

Vascular Anomalies

Vascular anomalies are visible enlargements of veins and blood vessels on the skin. While they are generally harmless, they can be bothersome from an aesthetic or comfort standpoint. Fortunately, laser procedures have advanced to effectively reduce or eliminate the appearance of these conditions. The procedure typically takes around 15 to 30 minutes, with longer sessions required for treating veins on the legs. For the face, it is usually virtually painless; however there might be a slightly higher level of discomfort experienced on the legs.

Warts

As a parent, you may be all too familiar with the struggle of managing warts in your children. Warts are small, hardened growths that appear on the hands and feet due to viral infections. While warts themselves are not contagious, the viruses that cause them are. This is why they can quickly spread, especially among family members. Although warts are common and not a significant health concern, they can be embarrassing and cause self-consciousness.
